Guidelines for Participating Students
One thing that is special about the Stellar journey is that every year, class, and experience is unique - the tricks and combos you learn for your dance this year, will not be the same as the ones you have learned before (or will learn and prepare in the future!). Each class composition will also never happen again! And that’s part of what makes every Stellar story special.
To commemorate this part of your aerial journey, we have a photoshoot for every Stellar. This is where you get to show off and remember the tricks and moves that made this journey to the stage extra memorable.
Stellar Photoshoot week is on June 7 to 13, 2026. This week, we will not have Stellar classes. Instead, every class will meet to have their photo and video shoot for our show!

NOTES:
This is the schedule for only the Stellar Photoshoots and Video shoots. Please find our full schedule (with classes) for June 7 - 13, 2026 on the Mindbody app/web.
Photoshoot and video shoot schedules will strictly follow their start and end times and will not be extended for latecomers. We ask for your kind cooperation this week to make the schedules flow on time for us to able to give everyone ample time in the shoots.
For students who have overlapping/conflicting schedules in the shoot, kindly bring this to your teachers’ attention ASAP so we can plan when to take your photos and videos in specific times within the schedule.
For students who are unable to make it to their respective photo and videoshoots, we have scheduled a make-up photoshoot day on June 26, 2026, Friday. Please email us at info@polecatsmanila.com if you will miss your photoshoot day and would like to be a part of the make-up day. A minimal fee will be charged as make-up day is an added event for Stellar.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive one (1) hour before your photoshoot to settle in to Studio 2, and do any last-minute touch ups to your hair and make-up. If your class photoshoot is at 10:00 am, please arrive in Studio 2 (holding room) by 9:00 am of the same day.
Should I already have my hair and make-up done when I arrive?
Yes, your hair and make-up must be done already when you arrive! This time is set for you to warm up for your poses, touch up on make up, change to your costume, and do any other last-minute preparations with your classmates. Please make sure you packed your costumes and any extra props you need for the shoot! You will be ushered to Studio 3 for the shoot proper a few minutes before your class timeslot.
What should I expect during the shoot?
We will be shooting photos AND videos during the shoot.
PHOTOS (Studio 3)
2 SOLO TRICK ON APPARATUS per person
1 SOLO PORTRAIT (waist up, no apparatus) per person
1 GROUP POSE (with your classmates!)
We recommend having one of the poses on your apparatus as an upright pose, so you have a trick photo where your face is seen! We also recommend choosing poses that you’ve learned before, and that know you can hold for some time.
VIDEOS (Studio 2)
1 SOLO TRICK
1 SOLO PORTRAIT
2 GROUP VIDEOS
These tricks and portraits can be the same as what you will do for the photos, but do add some movement so they look more dynamic on video! You will also receive some more specific direction from your teachers about the videos as they are specific to your class.
You will receive copies of the edited photos listed above. We will not be sharing the RAW files of all the photos/outtakes of that day, but you are free to set up your phone/camera at the same time to take as much as you want during the shoot! We will also be taking behind-the-scenes photos and videos, feel free to take as many of those as well, with your phones!
These will appear in the Stellar Alchemy promo materials and program! We can't wait to show everyone what you've been working on, and to invite people to watch the show! You can also use them to post and invite more friends to watch you on stage.
Please refer to your respective teachers for schedule within the timeslots, as well as the tricks and poses to prepare for it.
Can I have my hair and make-up done in the studio?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer our studio spaces to have your hair and make-up done here. We recommend having it done before coming to the studio. For example, having it done at home or in a salon! If you and your classmates are gathering to have hair and make up done together and need a venue, we recommend inquiring with nearby hotels like Malayan Plaza or Citadines.
When can I practice for my poses?
Think about tricks or poses that you’ve previously learned or come across. It would be best to choose poses that you’ve practiced already, and that you can hold for some time as we take your photos and videos.
If you don’t have a pose yet and are looking for some options, we recommend attending another class in your level to learn new ones! Some teachers are giving time in your Stellar classes to work on your poses.
If you need more time to try poses, you can book a Studio Practice Time slot during Thursday afternoons. You may also opt to book a studio rental for a more convenient time for you and your friends, or book a private class if you want to learn something completely new.
